Khadija Goforth is a student of Pir Moineddin, Murshid Wali Ali and pretty much everyone these days, Khadija's working hypothesis is that "there is nothing but God" and she seeks that experience everywhere. In 1973, in her early 20's, she first met her beloved"Soofies" in a Beverly Hills theatre, encountering Murshid Samuel Lewis in the film "Sunseed." In 1994 with her husband Mansur, Khadija served as semazenbashi/dance master at Mevlana Jelaluddin Rumi's tomb in Konya, Turkey and in 2007 she organized a Universal Worship Service with Ruhaniat, Sufi Order, and Sufi Movement ministers for Pir-o-Murshid Hazrat Inayat Khan's 80th URS in New Delhi, India. Khadija's work currently emphasizes awakening Love and Unity through sacred sound and movement practice including Zikr, Wazifa, and the Dances of Universal Peace. She serves as a murshida/senior teacher in the Ruhaniat; a Dances of Universal Peace senior mentor, Service of Universal Peace senior minister and DHO initiator. She is a retired Ruhaniat trustee who applies Hazrat Inayat Khan, Murshid Samuel Lewis and Mevlana Jelaluddin Rumi's spiritual transmissions to daily life, community, classes, camps, and khilvat/retreat. She is a mother and grandmother.
